We are pleased to announce that the Amelia Earhart flight is on the way again.
Texas and Arizona - Here we come!
The "Amelia Flight Across America - Rediscovering a Legend," will resume on Friday, September 21, 2001:
This Friday (September 21, 2001) we will depart from Hobbs, New Mexico at approximately 9:00 a.m. We will fly from Hobbs to Pecos, Texas, arriving around 11:15 local time at Pecos Air Center, phone: 915-447-2488. We will remain in Pecos for lunch and fuel and will depart Pecos at 1:30 p.m.
From Pecos we will fly to El Paso, Texas and are scheduled to arrive Friday afternoon around 3:15 local time, perhaps a little earlier. We will taxi to Cutter Aviation on the field, phone: 915-779-0270.
The Schedule for Saturday, September 22, 2001:
We will leave El Paso at 9:00 a.m. and fly to McNeal, Arizona arriving in McNeal around 10:30 a.m. We will have lunch in McNeal (hopefully still wiht the McNeal Ladies Aid Society) and depart McNeal for Tucson at 1:30 Saturday afternoon. We will arrive in Tucson at 2:45 p.m. at Tucson Executive Terminal near the control tower (phone: 520-573-8128).
After refueling we will depart for Casa Grande, Arizona at 3:20 and will land in Casa Grande for the night at around 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, September 23, 2001
We will depart Casa Grande for Yuma, Arizona at 6:30 a.m. and arrive Yuma around 9:00 a.m. After refueling we will depart Yuma around 10:15 for Los Angeles.
