Just before the flight started Carlene was interviewed on Good Morning America in New York City. This is the outside of the ABC TV studios.
These are the polo fields at the Westchester Country Club where Amelia departed from in 1928.
The Avian shared a hangar in Westchester, New York with a business jet for a few nights just before the trip began.
Carlene and her friend Drew Bowe with a great guide at the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. Amelia toured the Air Corps hangars here too.
Carlene is working on the Avian on the trip, just as Amelia did.
