Due to the tragedy of today, the Amelia Earhart flight is staying in Hobbs, New Mexico overnight and will continue on tomorrow morning (Wednesday) to Pecos then El Paso, Texas.
The latest information (as of 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night) is that we should be able to depart Hobbs tomorrow around 10:00 p.m. So, we are presently planning to leave Hobbs at 10:00 a.m. MDT tomorrow, Wednesday, and to arrive Pecos at 12:00 noon CDT. We will arrive at Pecos Air Center (phone: 915-447-2488). We will stay in Pecos until around 2:30 p.m., and then proceed to El Paso, Texas arriving at approximately 4:15 p.m. MDT. Wednesday. We will taxi to Cutter Aviation at the El Paso airport (915-779-0270) upon arrival in El Paso.
There is a chance they may not open the airways until AFTER 12:00 noon EASTERN TIME, Wednesday, but we will depart as soon as the airways are open.
We will do our best to keep you posted and will try to advise the airports at the numbers above of and schedules.
As of today, the balance of our schedule is on time, including the following stops and times on Thursday, September 13th:
McNeal, AZ, Arrive 10:30 a.m?. Tucson arrive Tucson Executive Terminal at 2:45 p.m. (520-573-8128)? Casa Grande, Arrive 4:30 p.m.
